Here are the breakdowns for the Tuition and Fees at Watersprings School.
2017-2018 Tuition and Fees Schedule

Variable Tuition

We understand that a Christian education is a huge investment for our families, so we are launching a new, affordable option; Variable Tuition. Variable tuition is a needs-based program, allowing families to apply for reduced tuition that fits their family’s unique financial position. Our goal is to make Watersprings School affordable and accessible to most families. Apply for Variable Tuition by going to www.cfslogin.com and using Watersprings School ID # 44747.

What is “Variable Tuition”? +

Variable Tuition is a needs-based program similar to those used by many private schools, colleges, and universities. This program allows families to apply for reduced tuition that fits their family’s financial position. This makes a Watersprings School education affordable to many qualified students who could not otherwise join our school community.

How does it work? +

Any family of a Kindergartener through 12th grade student may apply for Variable Tuition if they are concerned about affording the full tuition rate at Watersprings School. Watersprings School uses a 3rd party company to decide who qualifies for Variable Tuition. Many factors are used to determine the tuition amount a family is able to pay such as income, assets, unusual expenses, and the family size.

Do I need to apply to Watersprings School to receive Variable Tuition? +

Yes. Families will have to reenroll/apply to Watersprings School. New families will have to go through the admissions process and be accepted before they apply for Variable Tuition.

Upon completion of my Variable Tuition application, when will I receive confirmation of my Variable Tuition? +

Upon receipt of your completed Variable Tuition application, Watersprings School will contact you within ten business days.

Are all admitted students offered Variable Tuition if the family qualifies? +

No. Unfortunately, the school does not have the ability to offer Variable Tuition to every student who qualifies for both admission and Variable Tuition. A student may be admitted to the school but placed on a waiting list for Variable Tuition. It is recommended that families apply for Variable Tuition as early as possible.

What about the “multi-child discount”? +

Multiple students are one of the key factors in determining Variable Tuition. One of the important questions asked on the confidential application relates to family size and that is factored in to the Variable Tuition rate.

Do I need to apply for Variable Tuition every year? +

Yes. A new application must be submitted every year for Variable Tuition.

If I do not qualify for the program this year, can I apply again next year? +

Yes. A family that does not qualify is welcome to reapply the following year.

Should every family submit an application for Variable Tuition? +

No. Only families who feel that they may not be able to pay the full tuition amount should submit a Variable Tuition application.

Do returning students receive priority over new students when applying for Variable Tuition? +

Yes. Reenrolling students who submit a reenrollment application by May 31 will receive priority consideration.

Will applying for Variable Tuition hurt my student’s chance of being accepted to Watersprings School? +

No. Admission applications and Variable Tuition applications are evaluated separately, and applying for Variable Tuition has no bearing on the Admissions process.

Do I need to apply for reenrollment separately from applying for Variable Tuition? +

Yes. For returning students the reenrollment process must be completed before the application for Variable Tuition can be considered. New families must complete the Admissions process and be accepted in order to apply for Variable Tuition.

What kind of economic situation is typical of a family who qualifies for Variable Tuition? +

A wide range of families with a variety of circumstances qualify for the program. Many factors are evaluated, including income, assets, unusual expenses, and the size of the family.

Are some families awarded full tuition? +

No. Every family is required to make a financial investment in their child’s education. Our commitment to providing Variable Tuition means that we are sharing in that investment with you.

Will Variable Tuition lead to larger classes? +

No. The maximum class size, as determined by administration, will not be exceeded.

Who should I contact with questions about Variable Tuition? +

Questions about Variable Tuition should be directed to our School Office at 208-542-6250.
